A relationship has many dimension including; family, friends, and lovers. Here we are talking about a relationship between two people of opposite sex said to be in love. This a very special feeling as two people in love feel so confident an act freely when beside their other half. But it can all go wrong if it happens to be a wrong relationship, maybe you could even be regretting you guys ever met. But all the same, the earlier you are able to evaluate your relationship and tell if it is a right or wrong one, the better for the better. Nobody likes a bad situation, but yet when they come, we must act fast and wisely.

If the signs in the list can be seen in your relationship, then it’s time for you to quit that relationship because it is the wrong relationship. I understand that it isn’t easy for anyone to accept that their relationship is a terrible one and move forward but the sooner you face reality, the better for you.

Here are 9 signs you are in a terrible relationship.

1. YOU LIE TO PROTECT YOUR PARTNER; WRONG RELATIONSHIP

If you always find yourself lying to protect your partner then you are in a wrong relationship. If you are ashamed or afraid to tell your family or friends about your partner’s actions and words and you instead find yourself having to lie to protect him that could be a huge sign you are in a terrible relationship.

2. YOUR PARTNER DOESN’T TRUST YOU

Trust is vital in every relationship and if you have a partner that doesn’t trust you then you are in a terrible relationship. If your partner always accuses you of lying and can’t go a day without going through your phone and emails then you shouldn’t be in that relationship. If you have a partner that has trust issues, you need to re-evaluate your love.

3. YOUR PARTNER MAKES ALL THE DECISIONS

If your partner sees you as inferior and makes all the decisions in the relationship then you are in a terrible relationship. You are supposed to be partners in your relationship and not a slave to your partner. You shouldn’t be in a relationship where your partner sees you as inferior and makes all the decisions.

4. YOUR PARTNER DOESN’T SHOW LOVE IN HIS/HER ACTIONS, THEN YOU ARE IN A WRONG RELATIONSHIP

Saying you love someone is never enough, it’s really important you show your love by acting it. If your partner says he/she loves you but doesn’t act as he/she loves you then you are in a terrible relationship.

5. YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE STRONG RESERVATIONS ABOUT YOUR PARTNER.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think we should choose our partner based on the opinions of our family and friends but I strongly believe that if everyone around you has strong reservations about your partner then you should try to understand why and be very objective. It’s so easy to get blinded by love and not see glaring reasons why we shouldn’t be with our partner. Our family and friends love us and they wouldn’t want us to make terrible decisions.

6. YOUR PARTNER DOESN’T LOVE AND ACCEPT YOU AS YOU ARE THEN YOU ARE IN A WRONG RELATIONSHIP

Having a partner that doesn’t love and accept you as you are is a huge sign that you are in a terrible relationship. When you can’t be who you really are in your relationship that’s a huge sign you are in a terrible relationship.

7. YOUR PARTNER MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A FOOL

If you have a partner that makes you feel like a fool in private or in front of others then you are in a terrible relationship. Your partner shouldn’t make you feel like a fool by calling you names or ridiculing your opinions whether in private or in public.

8. YOU DON’T HAVE THE SAME GOALS WITH YOUR PARTNER

If you don’t have the same goals with your partner, I just wonder what you are still doing in that relationship. If you can’t come to a compromise on important issues and goals in your relationship, then you are in a terrible relationship.

9. YOU DON’T FEEL LOVED IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

You are in a terrible relationship if you don’t feel loved in your relationship. Why remain in a relationship if you don’t feel happy and comfortable being in that relationship. Life is too short to remain in a relationship that doesn’t make you happy.

Try all that you can in identifying what is causing the wrong relationship and do all you can to resolve the issue (breaking up should always be the last thing).
