Women Protest Against Lack Of Men To Impregnate Them

A good number of Kenyan women have been complaining for so long about the lack of men to impregnate them. Note that Kenya is one of the African countries whose number of women is five (5) times the number of men. This leaves several Kenyan women without men to satisfy them. Many find themselves aging on a daily basis without seeing the shadow of marriage somewhere around them. Waking up every morning and not finding self under the protective arms of a husband is what led several Kenyan women to protesting. That is, they did not only complain about the situation but took it to themselves to protest. We can as well say without doubt that this protesting came as a result of the fact that several Kenyan women could not stand the reality of growing old yet having no child.

In response to the cry of the people, Uhuru Kenyatta, Kenya’s President signed into law a controversial marriage bill legalizing polygamy in the country. This comes in to override what they believed to be old and outdated; where one man marries only one wife. They claimed that this does not work in their situation. And as a result, the president stepped in to legalize polygamy. However, it is important to note that the bill came with several controversies. The already married women showed a sign of dissatisfaction while the single women sang songs of praise to the president for his good gesture.
